Thanks to health systems such as the Spanish one, people increasingly have better access to public health, thus facilitating reaching an advanced age in a state of health that allows a high quality of life.

To find more efficient ways to take advantage of health resources, the European Commission has focused on action points such as long-term health, social and environmental determinants, non-contagious or rare diseases, infectious diseases, medical tools, technologies, digital innovation and health systems.
