Fetoscopies are minimally invasive surgical procedures performed to treat fetuses during pregnancy from life-threatening congenital diseases (including spina bifida, twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome and congenital diaphragmatic hernia). Despite the success of those operations, fetoscopy often leads to preterm birth caused by the rupture of the amniotic sac due to the insertion of the surgical instrument through the maternal womb. This leads to dramatic consequences, high costs and limits the potential of fetoscopy.

To counter this drawback, KOVE medical has developed a device capable of closing the holes created during fetoscopic surgeries. Thanks to its design, precision, and ease of operation, risks of preterm births and pregnancy complications will be reduced, making fetoscopy safer, decreasing costs related to premature birth and unleashing the potential of in-utero surgeries!
