FAQ

Frequently asked questions about PERTE Agri-Food III.

What types of companies can apply for PERTE Agroalimentario III?
Private companies, cooperatives and SATs in the agri-food sector whose activity is included in CNAE codes 10, 11 or 12 can apply for this aid. It is not necessary to form consortia: projects are submitted individually and each organisation can submit its own initiative provided it meets the technical and financial requirements.
What is the minimum budget required to submit a project?

The minimum budget depends on the line of action and the size of the company:

SMEs: from €400,000 per project.

Large companies: minimum €1,000,000 per project.

This threshold applies to both the Sustainability and SME Investment lines. The R&D&I line does not set a specific minimum, but it must be technically consistent and justifiable.

Which costs are eligible for funding within each line?

Eligible costs vary depending on the line:

  • R&D: own technical staff, equipment and instrumentation (up to 50% for depreciation), subcontracting and external collaborations.
  • Sustainability: efficient equipment, works and adaptations (up to 50%), intangible assets (software and licences) and sustainable investment differential.
  • SME investment: machinery, equipment, industrial works and intangible assets linked to the project.

In certain cases, investments that do not increase production capacity can be financed up to 100%.

When will the official call for proposals for PERTE Agroalimentario III be opened?

The terms and conditions have already been published, but the official call for applications does not yet have a set date. However, there is usually little time between publication and the deadline, so it is advisable to prepare the project in advance to ensure technical and documentary eligibility.
