What was the initial inspiration behind the TerraceLab project?
TerraceLab ‘s initial inspiration stems from the need to combat the lack of food awareness and promote better practices in the food chain. With the aim of bringing agriculture closer to urban centers, Terracelab seeks to provide innovative solutions that optimize small spaces and contribute to food security through the implementation of smart modular gardens in urban areas.
What specific benefits does TerraceLab offer to companies implementing its vertical farming modules?
TerraceLab offers several benefits to companies, such as:

How is IoT and machine learning technology integrated into TerraceLab’s daily operations?
TerraceLab is in the process of developing an IoT system that will allow the gardens to be managed autonomously, without the need for human intervention. In addition, they are working on integrating machine learning and artificial intelligence to make predictions about plant growth, optimize necessary resources (such as water and the environment), and prevent problems in advance. These advances will make the orchards more efficient and easier to operate.
It has been a pleasure for Evolution to work with you to develop its financing strategy. How do you value our collaboration?
The collaboration with Evolution has been very positive. From the beginning, the process was agile and transparent. Alberto and the Evolution team were quick in their response and in forming the consortium, which facilitated the process. Although there were minor setbacks that could have been avoided, the overall experience was excellent. For this reason, we decided to repeat the collaboration with Evolution for the Neotec funding proposal.
After receiving funding from Enisa, what are the next steps and expansion goals for TerraceLab in the short and medium term?
Now that we have received the Enisa funding, our plans are to expand the team, incorporate more talent and acquire more systems and equipment to continue developing our technology. We aim to continue growing, stay afloat until 2025, and meet our long-term projections. In addition, we have raised private funds through an equity injection, which will help us continue our growth and expansion.
