2025 EIC Pathfinder: 30 New Deep Tech Projects Funded
€118 million in EU funding will support 30 breakthrough projects across biotechnology, AI for cancer care, autonomous robotics, and waste-to-value innovation.
2025 EIC Pathfinder results: key funding areas
The 2025 EIC Pathfinder Challenges Call has selected 30 new projects. Together, they reflect the scale, ambition and scientific excellence of Europe’s research and innovation landscape.
Chosen from 647 eligible proposals, these projects will receive a total of €118 million in EU funding. This support will help advance breakthrough technologies in four strategic areas defined under the 2025 EIC Pathfinder Challenges Call:
- Biotechnology for climate-resilient crops and plant-based biomanufacturing;
- AI for cancer diagnosis and treatment;
- Autonomous robotics for construction;
- Waste-to-value technologies.
In addition, the selected portfolio includes participants from 33 countries. This highlights both the strength and diversity of Europe’s deep tech ecosystem. Universities, research organisations and private companies are coming together to develop new solutions. Their work has the potential to address major societal and industrial challenges.
