Marta has always been fascinated by how the human body works, which led her to study Pharmacy and specialize in the brain with a master’s in Neuroscience. Her interest in research allowed her to carry out stays in Helsinki and Copenhagen, where she discovered her passion for studying neurodegenerative diseases.

Later, in Belgium, she dedicated her thesis to investigating the role of macrophages, key immune system cells, in maintaining the neurons of the enteric nervous system. This project enabled her to connect different disciplines and deepen her scientific approach. Currently, her goal is to apply all this knowledge to real-world challenges and contribute to the development of new solutions.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures, being in contact with nature, attending music festivals, and engaging in sports and adventure activities.
