Industrial sectors such as aeronautics or the naval industry face a problem of internal logistics for the displacement of very heavy loads. These movements are usually done by fixed machinery, which also occupies a large area of land within Industrial buildings.
To tackle this situation, the DTA technical team addressed the study of a new platform-vehicle with the aim of transporting large-tonnage loads automatically and with a self-propelled system. The key is in the development of the vehicle in a modular and versatile way to facilitate the movement of these loads, saving unevenness and allowing automatic or remote guidance. In addition, it allows the reduction of costs in personnel necessary to carry out these activities, something that encouraged the cost of the processes without adding value to the final product.
