Agrocat CDTI PID - Caso de éxito de Evolution Europe

Founded in 2012 as a spin-off from the Andalusian Health Service, AnatGe (Anatomical Geometry) is a company specialized in the design and manufacturing of medical devices for oncology, particularly for SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy) and SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery). With a clinical and practical approach, the company develops innovative solutions such as eXaSkin and eXaKid, which enhance the precision and comfort of radiotherapy treatments.

The company currently has two distinct projects approved under public funding calls at national and regional levels:

    National call: CDTI PID

Thanks to Evolution Europe’s technical support, AnatGe recently obtained approval for an R&D project under CDTI’s PID call. This project focuses on the development of a noninvasive virtual brachytherapy treatment for gynecological cancer based on high-precision external radiotherapy (SBRT) techniques that eliminate the need for invasive procedures typically used in traditional brachytherapy.

This innovation integrates 3D-printed devices, biocompatible materials, advanced anatomical immobilization systems, and personalized clinical protocols, enabling safer, more effective, and more comfortable treatments for patients.

This development represents a paradigm shift in radiotherapy oncology and holds great transformative potential: it increases access to treatment in under-resourced hospitals, reduces the handling of radioactive material, and improves clinical outcomes. It also positions AnatGe as an international benchmark in medical innovation, with strong potential for expansion into European and other global markets, supported by patent protection and technology transfer.

    Regional Call: Andalucía Trade

At the same time, AnatGe has received a favorable resolution under the Andalucía Trade Incentive Program, managed by the Regional Government of Andalusia. This project focuses on creating a new production facility for manufacturing radiotherapy immobilization devices and related consumable materials.

The new plant will feature advanced manufacturing technologies, such as laser cutting, ultrasonic welding, plastic injection, and precision machining, which will allow AnatGe to increase production capacity, reduce external subcontracting, and enhance its competitiveness.

This investment represents a key milestone in the company’s industrial expansiondirectly impacting job creation, internationalization, and consolidation of its position in the medical technology sector.
